Job Title: Legal Billing Specialist

Job Overview:

Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Legal Billing Specialist to join our client in a role that supports key business operations and contributes to important organizational initiatives. This Direct Hire opportunity is based in Morristown, New Jersey, and offers a Hybrid work arrangement. The position plays an important part in maintaining accurate billing operations, supporting legal professionals, and ensuring client invoices are processed efficiently in a high volume environment. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, familiarity with legal billing practices, and the ability to build effective working relationships across the organization.

Compensation:

$75,000 to $87,000 per year

Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday during normal business hours, with flexibility to work overtime as business needs require.

Key Responsibilities of the Legal Billing Specialist:

• Oversee the preparation and processing of a substantial monthly invoice volume while maintaining accuracy and meeting established deadlines.
• Support assigned legal professionals by learning their billing preferences, client requirements, and operational priorities.
• Coordinate electronic invoice submissions, review billing information, and address discrepancies that could delay payment.
• Maintain organized financial records and ensure billing activities follow applicable client guidelines and internal procedures.
• Facilitate consistent service by learning additional assignments and providing coverage for colleagues when needed.

Qualifications and Skills for the Legal Billing Specialist:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• At least three years of professional experience in legal billing, electronic invoicing, or a closely related accounting function.
• Experience using an enterprise legal billing platform is preferred, with comparable billing system experience also considered.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a large workload accurately while balancing deadlines and changing priorities.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem solving skills, with the flexibility to support overtime needs when required.
