Russo & Gould, LLP is a well-established and growing litigation practice seeking a Legal Billing Clerk with 3+ years of law firm billing experience. We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Legal Billing Clerk to join our team and support our firm's billing operations.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing billing matters including but not limited to preparing and issuing invoices, liaising with clients, answering and solving billing issues and maintaining accurate records of all transactions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, edit and issue client invoices, ensuring all billable activities are accurately captured and recorded
• Respond to client billing inquiries and assist in resolving billing discrepancies and disputes
• Maintain and update client billing records and account information
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff to ensure timely and accurate billing
• Process client payments and update financial records accordingly
• Generate regular billing, accounts receivable, and financial reports
• Ensure compliance with client billing guidelines, legal billing standards, and firm policies
• Assist with month-end billing processes and other accounting-related projects as needed

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a billing clerk, legal assistant, administrative assistant, or in a law firm or professional services environment preferred; entry-level candidates with relevant education or transferable experience are encouraged to apply
• Strong numerical aptitude and exceptional attention to detail
• Familiarity with legal billing procedures and protocols is preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and billing/accounting software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
